Huntington Breakfast Briefing: Cynthia Hundorfean, Chief Executive Officer, President, Allegheny Health Network
The Pittsburgh Technology Council is pleased to present Cynthia Hundorfean, the Chief Executive Officer and President of Allegheny Health Network, a Pittsburgh-based health care system. Ms. Hundorfean will discuss how Allegheny Health Network is transforming healthcare through technology to deliver best of class patient care at their award-winning facilities.
Also participating in the conversation on the current state and future of healthcare delivery, is AHN’s Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), Robert White, MD, FAAFP.
Ms. Hundorfean was appointed CEO and President in January 2016 from the Cleveland Clinic, where she spent over 10 years as the Chief Administration Officer. Ms. Hundorfean will also discuss the changes that she made under her leadership and her vision for the health system moving forward.
As CMIO at AHN, Dr. White leads the design and implementation of the Network’s clinical information technology strategy. Specifically, he directs and champions the adoption by physicians of AHN’s Epic electronic health record and other technology solutions that support the delivery of well-coordinated, high quality clinical care, enhanced patient engagement, telemedicine, and population health management, among other key AHN and enterprise-level initiatives.
Allegheny Health Network offers a broad spectrum of care and services. They have eight hospitals: Allegheny General, Allegheny Valley, Canonsburg, Forbes, Jefferson, Saint Vincent, Westfield Memorial and West Penn; and more than 200 primary- and specialty-care practices. They have approximately 2,400 physicians in every clinical specialty, 19,000 employees and 2,000 volunteers.
