Member Face2Face Mixer: Astrobotic

Come out to meet your fellow members & tour Astrobotic at the next Member Face2Face Mixer!

Astrobotic is making the Moon accessible to the world. As a lunar logistics company, we’re delivering robotic payloads to the Moon for companies, governments, universities, and individuals around the world.  In fact, we have 11-deals in place representing 6-nations toward our first mission to the Moon.  As a company proudly based here in Pittsburgh, we're thrilled to share our historic story with PTC members during this Face2Face Mixer.

DELIVERING TO THE MOON
Starting in 2019, Astrobotic will send shipments of payloads to the lunar surface using its Peregrine Lunar Lander for the historic low price of $1.2 million per kg.  Peregrine will serve as Astrobotic’s workhorse, enabling customers to pursue the Moon’s untold opportunities in resource development, scientific investigation, technology demonstration, and exploration.  With Peregrine, Astrobotic offers a reliable, low-cost cargo delivery service that will unlock humanity’s future on the Moon.
Each Peregrine mission will deliver a diverse collection of payload types on a single flight to the Moon.  With this end-to-end delivery service, payload customers are empowered to build their payloads and integrate them onto our lander using Astrobotic’s standard interfaces.  Once Peregrine lands on the Moon, the vehicle provides power and communications bandwidth for payloads to operate their missions on the surface.

THE MISSION

For Peregrine’s first mission, the vehicle will fly as a secondary payload on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V launch vehicle from Cape Canaveral.  Following deployment from the Atlas, Peregrine will be propelled forth on the first-ever commercial mission to the Moon.  Upon landing, Peregrine will commence an 8-Earth day surface mission at a mid-latitude location on the Moon.  Future missions will be capable of landing at new frontier destinations on the Moon, such as the lunar poles.

Astrobotic is an official partner with NASA through the Lunar CATALYST program, has 23 past and ongoing NASA contracts, a commercial partnership with Airbus DS, a corporate sponsorship with DHL, and more than 100 customer deals in the sales pipeline for upcoming missions.

Enjoy complimentary cocktails and light appetizers while mingling with a diverse group of PTC members who come from diverse backgrounds - IT to engineering, life sciences to creative tech and everything in-between - in this new space.
