US Government Trade Control Seminar:
ITAR & EAR Compliance & Enforcement
This full-day ITAR & EAR Compliance and Enforcement Program offers attendees the opportunity to brush up on the basics of the International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and gain insight into the best practices from a highly accomplished panel of speakers. The program will focus on how to address complex and emerging ITAR and EAR compliance and enforcement risks impacting your business. This expert faculty will provide you with the latest updates on export control reform and what your organization should be doing now to prepare. US and non-US entities that deal with export-controlled items, software or technical data must ensure that their export practices and global supply chains are in compliance. In addition to the threat of lost business and corporate liability, export control violations can lead to individual criminal liability for empowered officials and executives. The session will conclude with an overview of US economic sanctions, including recent economic sanctions on Russia, Venezuela and the current state of Iran sanctions and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
