Start with Talent; Finish with Strengths
The “strengths-movement” is sweeping the business world
Come learn more at our briefing session:
Start with Talent – Finish with Strengths - Have you ever wondered why some things come naturally, while others don’t? Why you are drawn to certain activities and not to others? There is a simple, but powerful reason – each person has a unique combination of talents, knowledge and skills – strengths – that they use in their daily lives to do their work, achieve their goals, and interact with others.
Over 50 years of research by the Gallup organization has found that when people understand and apply their strengths, the effect on their lives and work is transformational. Yet, many people don’t know their strengths or have the opportunity to use them to their advantage. In fact, many people tend to focus on their weaknesses.
People who use their strengths every day are six times more likely to be engaged in their work and three times more likely to say they have an excellent quality of life.
Building a Strengths-Based Culture - The best-managed companies in the world build a culture that recognizes and leverages the talents of its employees. They provide the tools and processes that enable each employee to do “what they do best” every day.
By focusing on developing what they do right, not what they do wrong, these firms have built a company culture where employees look forward to going to work and consistently demonstrate higher productivity, higher engagement and lower turnover.
Workgroups within a strengths-based culture demonstrate 23% higher engagement and achieve an increase in profit of as much as 29%
