Join fellow Pittsburgh Technology Council members for a unique evening at the Pittsburgh Opera! This special iteration of our PTC Member Face2Face Mixer series will feature an opening networking reception for PTC members and Pittsburgh Opera staff including light food and beverage. At 6:00 PM there is an optional pre-opera talk to learn background information for the show, Il Trovatore. We encourage attendees to purchase a discounted admission ticket to the opera beginning at 7:00 PM (link will be provided soon). During intermission, PTC members can continue exclusive networking. After the show, attendees can join the Meet the Artists event.

Revenge is a dish best served hot.
Verdi’s Il Trovatore is an epic tale of love and sacrifice, deception and revenge.
Manrico and the Count di Luna, on opposite sides of a civil war in 1400s Spain, don’t know they are actually brothers. Both are in love with Leonora; she loves Manrico and spurns the Count’s advances.
Azucena is the tormented woman who raised Manrico. Years ago, the Count’s father killed Azucena’s mother. Azucena swore to avenge her mother’s death, and will do whatever it takes to punish the Count and his family.
After the Count captures Azucena, Manrico attempts to rescue her. When Manrico himself is then captured, Leonora tells the Count she will give herself to him in exchange for Manrico’s freedom. But Leonora and Azucena each have deadly tricks up their sleeves, and are determined to have the last laughs.
Pittsburgh Opera is proud to present Verdi’s sweeping, majestic opera Il Trovatore for the first time since 1999.

Online Registration will close 1-2 days prior to event. Pre-Registration is always requested, when possible, so that we may best plan for your arrival. Walk-in registrants, when accepted, must pay onsite with a credit card or check to obtain entry to the event, no exceptions. Refunds requested less than 2 business days prior to the event will not be granted. Substitutions are welcome.
